Christmas in summer

"Why are you selling Christmas stuff already?"

We've had this question recently more times than we care to admit. We get it, we really do! It's not even August, the sun's still shining (some days, as per the UK Summer), we've got people in bikinis at the beach and ice lollies galore... so why on earth is Santa on your home page?

Firstly, because he's a cool guy and as close to the real deal as you're going to find this part of the world. Secondly, because I know some of you are definitely already looking at Christmas activities and Christmas gifts (it's okay, I won't tell anybody don't worry it can be our little festive secret). Thirdly, because we can.

I joke on number 3 - it's actually a necessity for us to get this done in July. It helps us plan, prepare and means we can get our orders in early for things we need to make sure Christmas making goes smoothly with as few hiccups as possible. You'll have probably noticed over on our socials that we've already released phase 1 of our Advent Calendars. Releasing them this early has meant that we already have a ballpark figure for ordering in the outer packaging, as well as giving us a rough idea of how many we will need in total when we release our later phases.

Something not really considered as well outside of our four walls is the fact that our turnover during the summer months is substantially lower than it is over winter. Those of you who have been around long enough will know that we choose not to risk the quality of our products and do not do deliveries during periods of heat waves or higher than usual temperatures. When it arrives at your door we want it to be in the same condition it left us in - pointless making a profit if customers aren't happy with what they've ordered and never return because it's been heat spoiled! Anyway, I digress, basically selling Christmas products during this period means that we still have a steady and consistent income flow.

Not only does this keep the business afloat over the summer, it gives us the overheads to make sure we can produce as much as possible come winter, to allow for more orders.

There's a lot that goes into our seasonal work, especially Halloween and Christmas, so we definitely feel like it's a "fail to prepare, prepare to fail" situation and want to do all we can to make sure we don't let down our customers and are able to fulfil your orders... not only to our usual high quality, but also the amount required, which we wouldn't have the capacity to do without planning and preparing this far ahead.

How prepared are we for Christmas?

As well as our Advent Calendars being released early  we also have some events ready to book on our calendar (link below).

From "Make Your Own Advent Calendar" classes, to meet and greets with The Grinchy or Giggles the Elf, and obviously our Santa Experience which was a sell-out last year and had amazing reviews. We try to be as accommodating as possible and have something for everyone to help get into their festive feels.

ALL of our events are pre-book and ticketed. Please make sure you read the information carefully to avoid delay or disappointment.
