    Will never forget the conversation I had with mum and dad at 16 - cocky, stubborn, definitely thinking I knew best and absolutely not wanting to play by my parents' home rules - after being out one night, barely out of school, deciding there and then that I would be moving out the following day. 

     

    And I actually did.

  • Stuffed Waffles..

    We've been spending the last week trialling so many different fillings! Pizza stuffed, peach cobbler stuffed.... you name it, we're trying it. We've got those autumn and winter flavours ready to melt off the tongue too, with our bacon, brie and cranberry being a firm fave amongst staff. I couldn't give you a decision on my favourite one yet, we've still got some sampling to do.

    It differs so much family to family really. A good friend of mine is the opposite to me, and says she'd hate for her children to have to graft to the point of exhaustion and if she could leave behind millions for them to travel, explore the world, not working the 9 to 5 grind and not struggle, she would without question.

    Oh the nostalgia. I don't think I'd do it any differently though, given the choice. Everything happened the way it did and every decision made has led me to where I am today. One changed decision and life would have taken me down a different path... I might never have met Michael, might never have had Alfie, and that's just a version of reality that's too hard to bear. So I think I'm quite glad for being a little reckless and stupid as a teen really.
